Representative Bernie Lieder, Chair of the House Transportation Finance & Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 4:32 P.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF83 (Huntley) Duluth; New terminal facilities funding provided for the Duluth airport, bonds issued and money appropriated. Brian Rykes, Executive Director, Duluth Airport Authority assisted in presenting the bill.
HF83 was laid over with recommendation to pass for possible inclusion in the Capital Investment bonding bill.
Rep. Newton moved adoption of the minutes of March 3, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF851 (Haws) St. Cloud; St. Cloud regional airport funding provided, bonds issued, money appropriated. The following spoke to the bill:

HF851 was laid over with recommendation to pass for possible inclusion in the Capital Investment bonding bill.
Vice Chair Champion took the gavel at 5:07.
HF846 (Lieder) Rail service funding provided, bonds issued, money appropriated. Rep. Lieder moved the
H0846A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. The following spoke to the bill:

HF846 was laid over, as amended, with recommendation to pass for possible inclusion in the Capital Investment bonding bill.
HF619 (Hornstein) Public Safety Department authorized to collect fuel decal fee for International Fuel Tax Agreement, and cost of decal rule removed. The bill was presented and moved by Rep. Lieder. Patricia McCormack, Driver and Vehicle Services assisted in presenting the bill.
Rep. Lieder moved that HF619 be recommended to pass and be rereferred to the Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
