Representative Bernie Lieder, Chair of the House Transportation Finance & Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 4:35 P.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF 571 (Sailer) Mini truck titling, registration, and operation regulated. Rep. Lieder moved adoption of the
H0571DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. After committee discussion Rep. Lieder moved that HF 571, as amended, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 1221 (Bunn) Stillwater lift bridge endowment account established. Todd Clarkowski, MnDOT East Metro Engineer and Ken Harycki, Mayor of Stillwater, spoke in favor of the legislation. Rep. Lieder moved the author’s verbal amendment as follows:
On page 2, line 10 after "determines" insert: ,in consultation with the state Historic Preservation Office,

HF 810 (Urdahl) Little Crow transit way feasibility study required. Philip Qualy, Minnesota Legislative Director of the United Transportation Union spoke to the bill. Rep. Morrow moved the H0810DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. HF 810 was laid over.
Rep. Lieder moved that the committee reconsider action of March 19, 2009 on HF 672 (Dettmer). THE MOTION PREVAILED. The bill had been passed to the Finance Committee and they didn’t feel the need to act on the bill. Rep. Morrow moved that HF 672 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 1005 (Reinert) Enhanced driver's license and enhanced identification card created, application, issuance, and appearance of card provided, and Homeland Security secretary approval sought. Rep. Reinert moved the H1005DE3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. The following spoke to the bill:
