HF1074/SF 740 (Abeler) Anoka County; Design-build process authorized to award contract for construction of intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and County State-Aid Highway 83. Rep. Hornstein moved adoption of the
S0740DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Hornstein moved that SF 740, as amended, be recommended to pass and referred to the Local Government committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
SF47 (Bly) Dan Patch commuter line planning and development restrictions removal. Douglas Bruce, Edina and Paul McCullough of Bloomington spoke to the bill. Rep. Hornstein moved that SF 47 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. Rep. Holberg requested a roll call vote on passage of the bill. The vote was as follows:

Rep. Davids moved adoption of the minutes of March 27, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Vice Chair, Rep. Swails took the gavel at 1:57 P.M.
HF 898 3rd Engrossment (Hornstein) Greenhouse gas reduction goals and strategies added to various state and metropolitan programs and plans, goals established for per capita reduction in vehicle miles traveled to reduce greenhouse gases and money transferred. Rep. Hornstein moved adoption of the H0898A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. John Bailey, 1000 Friends of Minnesota and Lynne Bly, Fresh Energy, spoke to the bill. Rep. Hornstein moved that HF 898 the 3rd Engrossment,as amended, be passed and referred to the Finance Committee. Rep. Davids requested a roll call vote. Kent Sulem, MN Assoc. of Townships; Ryan O’Connor, Assoc. of MN Counties and Todd Olson, Metro Cities spoke to the bill. The clerk took the roll on the bill.
