AGRICULTURE, RURAL ECONOMIES AND VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Otremba, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:47 P.M. on, February 9, 2009, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Faust moved approval of the minutes from February 4, 2009.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

Department of Agriculture and the Department of Natural Resources presented a report on invasive species.

Bill(s) Previously Referred to Veterans Affairs Division by Memo:

HF433 (Obermueller) Medal of Honor day designated as March 25.
HF541 (Juhnke) Eligibility time frame extended for the surviving spouses of disabled military veterans to receive the residential homestead market value exclusion.
HF557 (Severson) State procurement preferences authorized for veteran-owned small businesses and disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
