Representative Tim Sanders, Chair Pro-Tempore of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:05 A.M. on May 11, 2009, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 631 (Kahn) State Lottery authorized to offer games involving sports wagering and sports wagering pools, sports bookmaking authorized under licenses issued by the director of the State Lottery, licensed sports bookmaking tax imposed, and a Minnesota active recreation fund created. (Informational only)

Representative Atkins moved the HF 2112 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Rules & Legislative Administration. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Davids moved that the minutes of April 7, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 2370 (Garofalo) Federal internet gambling investigations and enforcement prohibited without prior legislative approval. (Informational only)

Representative Atkins moved HF 2362.

Representative Atkins moved to orally amend HF 2362 as follows:
Page 1, Line 12, delete "or development agreement".
Page 1, Line 18, delete "February 1, 2010," and insert "December 15, 2009,".
THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
