MINUTES
Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division, called the ninth meeting to order at 8:36 A.M. on February 12, 2010 , in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:36 A.M. A quorum was present.
Representative Juhnke moved adoption of the May 15, 2009 minutes.

Representative Masin moved adoption of the November 6, 2009 minutes.

Broadband Stimulus Update
Testimony was given by:
Diane Wells, Manager, Telecommunications Division, MN Department of Commerce
A handout was given to division members:
"February 12, 2010 Testimony"
Representative Masin assumed the Chair.
Representative Johnson moved approval of HF2907 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.
HF2907 (Johnson) setting state goals for the deployment and speed of high-speed broadband.
Representative Johnson moved approval of amendment
H2907DE1.
The amendment was adopted.

The oral amendment was incorporated.
Representative Johnson renewed his motion that HF2907 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.
