BIOSCIENCE AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
POLICY AND OVERSIGHT DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on January 20, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Poppe moved approval of the Minutes from the January 15, 2009 meeting. MOTION PREVAILED AND MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Bob Isaacson, Director of Communications, Analysis and Research Division of the Department of Employment and Economic Development presented a bubble chart and explanation.

There was testimony from the Governor’s Economic Outlook Analysis Team; Commissioner Dan McElroy, Department of Employment and Economic Development and Commissioner Glenn Wilson, Department of Commerce.

Representative Mahoney announced the next meeting will be Tuesday, January 21st and there will be an overview of DEED mission, goals and programs.

The Committee was adjourned at 12:00 P.M.
