Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the fifteenth meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. on March 3, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Winkler moved approval of the Minutes from the February 25, 2009 meeting.
MOTION PREVAILED AND MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
Representative Peppin moved HF567 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
Representative Gunther presented HF567, a bill
relating to economic development; expanding bioscience business development public infrastructure grant programs
Representative Peppin renewed her motion that HF567 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Mahoney welcomed the Burnsville Government class.
Representative Obermuller assumed the chair.
Representative Mahoney moved HF12 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
Representative Mahoney presented HF12, a bill:
relating to unemployment compensation; modifying definitions

Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF12 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.

Chair Mahoney resumed the Chair.
Representative Hilty moved that HF680, as amended, be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
Representative Kalin presented HF680, a bill:
relating to energy; providing direction for the use of federal stimulus funding for energy programs
Representative Mahoney moved to amend HF680 as follows: See amendment B identified as
H0680A5
AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hilty renewed his motion that HF680, as amended, be recommended to pass and be referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
