MINUTES

Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the thirteenth meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. on February 24, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Presenting an update from the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics were:

Dr. Mark Paller, Assistant Vice President for Research, University of Minnesota
Dr. Eric Wieben, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Mayo Clinic
Dr. Tim Mulcahy, Vice President for Research, University of Minnesota

Representative Peppin moved approval of the Minutes from the February 18, 2009 meeting.
MOTION PREVAILED AND MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Chair Mahoney welcomed students from the Vector Investment Transition Program and also welcomed the High School Pages to the Committee.

Vice-Chair Obermueller assumed the chair.

The Committee was adjourned at 11:40 A.M.
