Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the nineteenth meeting to order at 10:45 A.M. on March 18, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hilty moved approval of the Minutes from the March 17, 2009 meeting.
MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
Representative Winkler moved HF1029 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.
Representative Winkler presented HF1029 a bill relating to
economic development; appropriating money for BioBusiness Alliance

Representative Brynaert moved HF1737 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.
Representative Brynaert moved to amend HF1737 as follows:
Page 1, line 3, delete "Technical" and insert "Technology"
Page 1, line 6, delete "TECHNICAL" and insert "TECHNOLOGY"
Page 1, line 9, delete "Technical" and insert "Technology"
AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
Representative Brynaert presented HF1737, a bill relating to
higher education; appropriating money for a grant to the International Renewable Energy Technical Institute at Minnesota State University, Mankato
