MINUTES
Karla Bigham, Vice- Chair of the Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee, called to order the twenty-fifth meeting of the House Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee at 1:02 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in the Basement of the of the State Office Building, a quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice-Chair Bigham called for a motion to approve the minutes of March 26, 2009, as corrected by the committee legislative assistant.

HF108: Committee Engrossment 1(Norton): Seat belt violation made a primary offense in all seating positions regardless of age.
Chair Bigham moved that HF108 Committee Engrossment 1 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Rep. Cornish described the H0108A7 amendment.

Rep. Lesch moved that HF1947 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance, with a recommended re-referral to the Committee on Health Care & Human Services Finance.
Rep. Lesch presented HF1947 and took questions from the committee.
John Harden, Prescriptions for Standard Register, testified in support of HF1947 and took questions from the committee.

Rep. Hayden presented HF1394 En. 1 and took questions from the committee.
Lisa Godon, Minneapolis Attorney’s Office, testified in support of HF1394 and took questions from the committee.
