MINUTES
Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:36 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lesch moved for approval of the minutes from Monday, February 15, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 1254 (Bills) Residential property rights expanded and defined, and association vote and lien provisions of the Minnesota Common Interest Act Modified.
Representative Gruenhagen moved that HF1254, as amended, be taken off the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Drazkowski moved to approve the
H1254A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Westrom reassumed the gavel at 1:22 PM.
Representative Westrom moved to orally amend H1254A4 Page 1, Line 12 after conducted, and insert "in accordance with any procedures or requirements for voting contained in the homeowners association document," and by deleting July 30, 2013 and insert "July 31, 2013."
Representative Westrom withdrew the oral amendment.
Representative Westrom amended the original motion that HF 1254 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register to a motion that HF 1254, as amended, be referred without recommendation to the Committee on Commerce and Regulatory Reform. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:02 PM.
