MINUTES
Representative Peppin, Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Quam moved approval of the minutes from March 17, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
H.F. 1234 (Downey) Commissioner of administration required to issue a request for proposals and enter into a contract for strategic sourcing consulting services.
Representative Murray moved that H.F. 1234 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

H.F. 429 (Sanders) Anoka County; countywide public safety improvement finance cost authority expanded.
Representative Sanders moved that H.F. 429 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

A11-0251 amendment to H.F. 429. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

H.F. 962 (Howes) Municipal tobacco license suspensions for sales to minors limited upon compliance with requirements.
Representative Peppin moved that H.F. 962 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Hancock moved that H.F. 1139 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
