MINUTES
Representative Peppin, Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the forty third meeting to order at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids presented HF2071.

Representative Nelson moved that the minutes of February 1, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF2071 (Davids) Lanesboro Dam exempted from historic review.
Representative Beard moved that HF2071 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

Representative Murray moved that HF2082 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

HF1926 (Swedzinski) Certification provided for good manufacturing practices for commercial feed and feed ingredients, voluntary certification fees authorized, rule provisions relating to animal feed modified, and money appropriated.
Representative Murray moved that HF1926 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

Representative Murray renewed his motion that HF1926 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Murray assumed the gavel at 11:34 a.m.
HF1812 (Stensrud) Department of Administration permitted to contract for waste-hauling without determining whether state employees are able to do the work, and state prohibited from purchasing waste-hauling vehicles for use in the Capitol complex.
Representative Murray moved that HF1812 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register.
Representative Sanders moved to orally amend HF1812 as follows:
Page 1, lines 4 and 5, delete "prohibiting the state from purchasing waste-hauling vehicles for use in the Capitol complex;"
Page 1, lines 8 and 9, delete "; vehicle acquisition prohibited"
Page 1, line 10, delete "Subdivision 1. Waiver:"
Page 1, delete lines 14 and 15
THE MOTION PREVAILED, AND THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Peppin moved that HF2007 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.
