MINUTES
Representative Gunther, Chair of the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m. on March 17, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Testifying before committee was Mary Hartnett, on behalf of the Minnesota Commission of Deaf, Blind and Hard of Hearing, Director, Jennifer Anderson, on behalf of the Minnesota Employment Center, Program Coordinator, Raymond Kane, on behalf of TJMAXX, Operations Manager, Greta Palmberg, on behalf of Vector Transition Services, and Zakaria Einab, program participant of Vector.
A quorum was present at 12:35 p.m.
Representative Swedzinski assumed gavel at 12:50 p.m.
Testifying before committee on behalf of the Elim Transitional Housing, Inc. was Sue
Watlov Phillips, Executive Director, and Markus Klimenko, Hennepin County Public Services, Manager for Homelessness Program.
Representative Sanders moved to approve the committee minutes of March 15, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Mahoney moved HF1110 (Small Business Investment Tax Credit Provisions Modified) to pass and be re-referred to the Tax Committee.
Testifying before committee on behalf of the Department of Employment and Economic Development was Jeff Nelson, Program Coordinator, Doug Ruth, on behalf of Earth Clean, and Glenn Seager, Twin Cities Angels, Director.
Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF1110 pass and be referred to the Tax Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Mahoney moved HF667 (Conservation Corps Minnesota Statewide Job Skills Development Program Grant Administration Money Appropriated) for possible inclusion in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Omnibus Bill.
Testifying before committee on behalf of the Conservation Corp of Minnesota was Len Price, Executive Director.
Representative Swedzinski moved HF112 (Taylors Falls; border city development zone powers established, and money appropriated) for possible inclusion in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.
Representative Barrett discussed HF 112 before committee.
Representative LeMieur moved HF1076 (Administrative, rulemaking enforcement, safety and health provisions modified) for possible inclusion in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
