MINUTES
Representative Gunter, Chair of the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. on February 14, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Chair Gunther moved to approve minutes of February 9, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1921 (Kiffmeyer) Greater Minnesota business development infrastructure and the Big Lake Regional Rail Park funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
Chair Gunther moved HF1921 before committee to pass and be laid over.
Chair Gunther moved approval of the
A12-0629 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Kiffmeyer discussed HF1921.

HF500 (Davids) Chatfield; Potter Center for the Arts funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
Representative Murray moved HF500 before committee to pass and be laid over.

Testifying on behalf of HF500 was Joel Young, City Clerk of Chatfield, Mike Tuohy, Founder of Tuohy Furniture Corporation, and Don Hainlen, Mayor of Chatfield.

HF2162(Murray) Greater Minnesota business development infrastructure grant program funding provided, bonds issued and money appropriated.

Testifying on behalf of Coalition for Greater Minnesota Cities was JD Burton.
Chair Gunther moved to amend HF 2162 as follows:
On Lines 1.10 and 1.3 - insert "public" after "development". THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Murray renewed his motion that HF2162 pass, as amended, and be laid over in committee.
HF2172 (McElfatrick) Construction code fund transfer to the general fund eliminated.
Chair Gunther moved HF2172 before committee to pass and be re-referred to Ways and Means.
