Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 10:16 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Moran moved that the minutes of March 1, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF0532 (Kieffer) Repeat criminal sexual conduct offender penalties enhanced.
Representative Kieffer moved that HF0532 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.
The committee heard testimony on HF0532.

Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) Public Policy Committee
Representative Kieffer renewed her motion that HF0532 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Staff from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) resumed an overview of the department's budget and answered questions of the committee.
