Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-second meeting to order at 10:17 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Vice Chairman Woodard moved that the minutes of March 3, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Vice Chairman Woodard assumed the gavel at 10:19 a.m.
HF0853 (Cornish) Human trafficking victim toll-free hotline money appropriated.
Representative Cornish moved that HF0853 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus finance bill.

Representative Cornish moved that HF0854 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus finance bill.

HF0556 (Smith) Juvenile prostitutes in need of protection or services provisions amended, sexually exploited youth defined, prostitution crime penalty assessments increased, and distribution of the assessment amended; prostitution laws provisions clarified and recodified, and definitions modified; money appropriated to the commissioner of public safety to develop a statewide victim services model.
Representative Smith moved that HF0556 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.
