MINUTES
Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-fourth meeting to order at 8:01 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll at 8:04 a.m.

Representative Kelly moved that the minutes of March 10, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Affiliates of the Drug and Gang Strike Force gave an overview of the task forces and their budgets and answered questions of the committee
Chief Gordon Ramsey, City of Duluth Police Department
Sheriff Rich Stanek, Hennepin County Sheriff's Department
James Backstrom, Dakota County Attorney
Jeri Boisvert, Director of the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Department of Public Safety, gave an overview of the program and its budget and answered questions of the committee.
David Brown, Assistant Hennepin County Attorney, answered questions of the committee related to OJP grants to county attorney offices.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:51 a.m.
