PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIME PREVENTION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the forty-second meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Woodard moved that the minutes of February 1, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chairman Cornish moved that the bonding recommendations of the committee be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1816 (Benson) Federally licensed firearms importers, manufacturers, and dealers authorized to possess and sell firearm silencers to authorized law enforcement and wildlife management agencies for authorized purposes.

Chairman Cornish moved that HF1816 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

The committee heard testimony on HF1816.

HF1984 (Scott) Federally licensed firearms manufacturers' possession of federally registered firearm silencers authorized for the purpose of testing firearms manufactured for police and military agencies.

Chairman Cornish moved that HF1984 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

Representative Woodard moved HF2046 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.
