MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the sixth meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative McDonald moved that the minutes of January 20, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF0161 (Drazkowski) Extends the time period for renewal of permit to purchase firearm from federally licensed dealer for transferee permits.

Representative Kelly moved that HF0161 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Representative Kelly moved the HF0161DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF0161.

HF0068 (Garofalo) Careless driving resulting in death is a gross misdemeanor.

Representative Woodard moved that HF0068 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.
