Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the fiftieth meeting to order at 10:17 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
HF2327 (Benson) Election administration procedures for individuals who have been convicted of a felony modified.
The committee heard testimony on HF2327.

Representative Gauthier moved that the minutes of March 1, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chairman Cornish moved that HF2327 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.
The committee continued to hear testimony on HF2327.

Chairman Cornish moved to orally amend HF2327: delete "or" and insert "and" in Section 3, line 3.24. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Cornish renewed his motion that HF2327, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1816 (Benson) Federally licensed firearm importers, manufacturers, and dealers authorized to possess and sell firearm silencers to authorized law enforcement and wildlife management agencies for authorized purposes. HF 1816 was previously heard in the House Public Safety Committee. Testimony will be to the DE2 amendment.
Chairman Cornish moved that HF1816 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

H1816DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
The committee heard testimony on HF1816, as amended.
