MINUTES
Representative Poppe, Chair of Committee on Agriculture Policy, called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Faust moved approval of the minutes from Wednesday, February 27, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APROVED.
Representative Faust moved approval of the minutes from Thursday, February 28, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APROVED.
Chair Poppe moved that HF 473 (Poppe), Governor's budget for Agriculture, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Finance.
Greta Gauthier, Director of Government Affairs, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, presented HF 473 (Poppe).
Steve Ernest, Budget Director, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, gave a detailed description of HF 473.
Representative Hamilton moved to amend HF 473 as follows:
Page 9, delete lines 33 to 35.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Poppe moved to amend HF 473 as amended as follows:
Page 1, line 14, delete both instances of "$388,000" and insert "$800,000" and delete "$776,000" and insert "$1,600,000"
Page 1, line 15, delete both instances of "$800,000" and insert "$388,000" and delete "$1,600,000" and insert "$776,000."
Representative Hamilton requested a roll call vote on the motion.
Chair Poppe withdrew the amendment.
Representative Hamilton moved to amend HF 473 as amended, First Engrossment. (See attached amendment
H0473A1).
Chair Poppe ruled amendment H0473A1 out of order.
Representative Anderson presented amendment
H0473A2 (See attached amendment H0473A2).
Representative Faust moved that the Committee adjourn.
Representative Hamilton requested a roll call vote on the motion.

Representative Wagenius requested a roll call vote on the motion.
Representative Faust withdrew the amendment.
Representative Hamilton made a motion to table HF 473 and requested a roll call vote on the motion.
