MINUTES

Representative Mullery, Chair of Committee on Early Childhood and Youth Development Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:04PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Moran moved that HF951 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Moran presented HF951 (Moran), Child Care Affordability Act established, child care assistance programs modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Moran renewed her motion to recommend HF951 be passed and rereferred and the committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mullery moved that HF430 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Hortman presented HF430 (Hortman), Family economic security act created, minimum wage rate increased, child care assistance modified, new child care tax credit provided, working family tax credit expanded, and money appropriated.

Representative Mullery renewed his motion to recommend HF430 be passed and rereferred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Winkler moved that HF362 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Winkler moved to amend HF362 (See attached amendment H0362A1). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Halverson presented HF362 (Halverson), MFIP child care assistance modified.

Representative Winkler renewed his motion to recommend HF362, as amended, to pass and be rereferred to the committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
