MINUTES

Representative Marquart, Chair of the Committee on Education Finance, called the meeting to order at 8:16 AM, January 24, 2013 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hertaus moved the minutes of January 22, 2013 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The following groups and testifiers presented information: Minnesota Head Start Association - Gayle Kelly, Executive Director; Minnesota Community Education Association - Tom Holton, Bloomington-Richfield Community Education and Steve Brisendine, Wilmar Community Education; ServeMinnesota - Kerry Bollman, Reading Center Director and Josh Downham; Minnesota Administrators for Special Education - Jan Ormasa, Executive Director and Kim Gibbons, Executive Director of the Saint Croix River Education District; National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota - Sue Abderholden, Executive Director; Minnesota School Nutrition Association - Rachel Valesano, Nutrition Director and Elaine Keefe, lobbyist. Members' questions and comments were addressed throughout the presentations.





The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 AM.
