Representative Marquart, Chair of the Committee on Education Finance, called the meeting to order at 8:15 AM, February 26, 2013 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

House Fiscal Analyst Melissa Johnson explained a spreadsheet document related to federal sequestration.
Representative Newton moved HF366 (Sundin) Schools damaged by flooding in Rushford and Moose Lake replacement funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Newton renewed his motion that, as amended, HF366 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Public testimony on HF225 was provided by Steve Wymore, Superintendent of Red Lake Schools, Chris Borg, Building and Grounds Manager of Red Lake Schools, Roy Nelson, School Board Member of Red Lake Schools, and Willie Larson, Business Manager of Red Lake Schools. Each spoke in support of the bill.
