Representative Mariani, Chair of Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M. on March 5, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Benson moved that the minutes of February 26, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Kresha moved that H.F. 957 be passed and referred to the Committee on Environment Policy.
Rep. Dettmer presented H.F. 957 (Dettmer); School construction near former landfills prohibited, and notice required for schools located near former landfills.

Rep. Robert Erickson moved that H.F. 688 be passed and referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy.
Rep. Winkler presented H.F. 688 (Winkler); Schools allowed to maintain a supply of epinephrine auto-injectors, and immunity from liability provided.

H0688A3) THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Rep. Bly moved H.F. 166 and recommended that it be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
Rep. Bly presented H.F. 166 (Slocum); Resident pupils temporarily placed in a care and treatment center allowed to continue participation in district extracurricular activities.
