Representative Mariani, Chair of Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:12 P.M. on March 11, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Marquart moved that the minutes of February 28, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED

Rep. S. Erickson moved that the minutes of March 7, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED
Rep. Nornes moved that the minutes of March 8, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED
Rep. Mariani moved H.F. 1151 and recommended that it be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
Rep. Mariani presented H.F. 1151 (Mariani); Early childhood through grade 12 education policies modified including general education, education excellence, special programs, libraries, and early childhood education.
Vice Chair Brynaert assumed the gavel at 4:21 P.M.

Rep. Abeler presented H.F. 562 (Abeler); Medical Assistance coverage provided for services provided by a licensed professional counselor.
