MINUTES

Representative Simon, Chair of Committee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 12:30pm on March 12, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF1083 (Simon) Judicial retention elections established, judicial performance evaluation commission created, money appropriated, and constitutional amendment proposed.

Rep. Simon moved that HF1083 be recommended to pass and be referred to committee on Judiciary.

Rep. Simon introduced an oral amendment to delete section 14, section 6.24. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Simon renewed motion that HF1083 as amended be recommended to pass and be referred to committee on Judiciary Finance and Policy. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Simon resumed the chair at 1:21pm.

HF334 (Bernardy) Early voting provided for, and money appropriated.

Rep. Bernardy moved that HF334 be recommended to pass and be referred to State Government Finance.

Rep. Bernardy moved H0334A1 amendment. The motion prevailed.
