Representative Simon, Chair of Committee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 12:30pm March 18, 2014 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Urdahl moves that HF2956 be re-referred to Government Operations.

Rep. Atkins moves oral amendment on line 1.9 to delete “To ensure equal treatment under law” and on line 1.10 to delete “and equal opportunity for political participation”. On line 1.17 to delete “To ensure equal treatment under the law and equal opportunity for political” and on line 1.18 to delete “participation”. On line 1.15, delete “Federal” and the “,” following state and on 1.23 delete “Federal” and the “,” following state.
