ENERGY POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Melissa Hortman, Chair of the Energy Policy Committee, called the twenty-first meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. on, March 19, 2013, in room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Update on Solar Rewards Program and Made in Minnesota Solar Bonus Program.

Testifying on the bill:
Lee Gabler, Xcel Energy

A handout was given to committee members: Energy Committee Meeting Solar Programs, 3.19.13.


Representative Hortman moved that HF655 be passed and sent to the General Register.

HF655 (Howe) High-voltage transmission line routing process regulated, and designation of a preferred route prohibited in the permitting process.

Representative Falk moved adoption of amendment H0655A1.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Garofalo called for a division - the amendment was adopted by a vote of eight (8) in favor and five (5) against.

Representative Hortman amended her motion that HF655 be passed as amended and sent to the
Government Operations committee.
The bill was passed. The motion prevailed.








Representative Morgan moved adoption of the March 12, 2013 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Representative Morgan moved adoption of the March 13, 2013 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Representative Morgan moved adoption of the March 18, 2013 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
