HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 88th SESSION
ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative David Dill, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the third meeting to order at 4:00 p.m., on January 30, 2013, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Benson, J. moved the minutes of January 16, 2013, be approved.
MOTION PREVAILED
Representative Cornish moved that HF 135 - Visually impaired hunters limited use of laser sights permitted - be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
Representative Nornes presented HF 135
Representative Cornish moved the
A2 amendment to HF 135.
MOTION FAILED
Representative Cornish renewed his motion that HF 135 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
Representative Fabian moved that HF 169 - Muzzleloader scope use be allowed - be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
Presenting comments relative to HF 169 were:
Stuart Benson - Retired Conservation Officer
Cory Bennett - Minnesota Deer Hunters Association
Bob Meier - Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
Discussion took place on the history of the muzzleloader scope. Members expressed both pro and con comments on the bill.
Representative Fabian renewed his motion that HF 169 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
