Representative Wagenius, Chair of the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Finance, called the meeting to order at 8:23 a.m., Tuesday, January 28th 2014 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

HF1976 (Falk) relating to natural resources; appropriating money for terrestrial invasive species research center.

8:24 Vice-Chair Falk assumed the gavel.

Testifying before the committee on Roundup Ready Resistance and Invasive Species:

Dr. Jeff Gunsolus, Professor and Extension Weed Scientist - University of Minnesota (Development and Progression of Herbicide Resistant Weeds in MN - 1980’s to 2013)

Dr. Don Wyse, Professor and Co-Director of the Center for Integrated Natural Resources & Agricultural Management (CINRAM) - University of Minnesota Extension (Developing High-Efficiency Agriculture for Farmers, Rural Communities and the State of Minnesota)

Representative Wagenius moved approval of the committee meeting minutes for Wednesday, January 15th, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED
