MINUTES
Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at January 23, 2013 at 10:03 am in Room Basement of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF66 (Hansen) Drainage system provisions modified.
Representative Hansen moved that HF66 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.
Representative Quam moved to amend Rep. Hansen’s motion as follows: HF66 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Committee on Agriculture Policy.
Rep. Quam requested a roll call.

THERE BEING 4 AYES AND 7 NAYS, THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.
Al Kean from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources testified on HF66.
Representative Hansen renewed his motion that HF66 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Nelson moved to reconsider HF55. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF55 Carlton County annual tax levy for cemetery purposes authorized.
Representative Nelson moved that HF55 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Jeffrey Hamiel, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, provided a presentation on the Metropolitan Airports Commission to the Committee.
Wes Kooistra, Deputy Regional Administrator for the Metropolitan Council, provided a presentation on the Metropolitan Council to the Committee..
Representative Quam moved approval of the minutes from January 22, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:35am.
