MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:04am on March 5, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF414 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Peppin moved to amend HF414 (See attached H0414A1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF310 (Moran) Cultural and Ethnic Leadership Communities Council for the Department of Human Services created.

Chair Nelson moved that HF310 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

HF462 (Poppe) Cellulosic ethanol production goal sunset date provided, definitions established, ethanol minimum content requirement converted to a biofuel requirement, petroleum replacement goal expanded, biofuels task force required, and E20 mandate language repealed.

Representative Hansen moved that HF462 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy.

HF669 (Simonson) Statewide Radio Board expanded and updated to include the latest emergency communication technologies, Statewide Radio Board authorized to elect to become a statewide emergency communication board, tribal governments included in regional board structure, and comprehensive authority provided under board to address all emergency communications.

Chair Nelson moved that HF669 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy.

HF83 (Freiberg) Tenant remedies provided, single point of contact and various notice provisions provided relating to mortgage foreclosures, mortgage foreclosure dual tracking prohibited, and mandatory mediation required prior to commencing a mortgage foreclosure.

Representative Freiberg moved that HF83 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy.

Representative Freiberg moved to amend HF83 (See attached H0083A19 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.
