MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:07am on March 5, 2014 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Freiberg moved approval of the minutes from March 4, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2419 (Fritz) Minnesota secure choice retirement savings plan created, and trust account established.

Chair Nelson moved that HF2419 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy.

Chair Nelson moved that HF2282 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy.

HF2120 (Holberg) Legislative Commission on Data Practices and Personal Data Privacy created

Chair Nelson moved that HF2120 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF2120 (See attached H2120A1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1943 (Mullery) State procurement provision modified relating to bidders’ past work

Chair Nelson moved that HF1943 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF1943 (See attached H1943A2 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF2088 (See attached H2088A1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson laid HF2088 over for future consideration.

HF1931 (Halverson) E-cigarettes regulated

Chair Nelson moved that HF1931 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy Committee.

HF2091 (Freiberg) State employee vacation donation to sick leave account use expanded

Representative Freiberg moved that HF2091 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs.
