EIGHTY-EIGHTH SESSION TWENTY-SEVENTH MEETING
HOUSE HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE

Chair Huntley began the twenty-seventh meeting of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Committee at 10:05 a.m. in Room 200 of the State Office Building on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Jim Nobles, Legislative Auditor, gave a brief overview of their Evaluation Report on State-Operated Human Services.
At 10:09 a.m. a quorum was present and Chair Huntley officially called the meeting to order. The committee legislative assistant noted the roll:

Representative Quam moved approval of the minutes from February 20, March 6, March 7, March 12 and March 13, 2013. The motion prevailed. The minutes were approved.
Joel Alter of the Legislative Auditor's office continued the presentation on the Evaluation Report, assisted by David Kirchner.
Anne Barry, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Human Services, offered testimony and responded to questions as well.
Chair Huntley recognized 12th grade students in the audience from Convent of the Visitation School who were participating in the Minnesota Historical Society Capitol Historic Site's "Voice of the People: Your Role in Minnesota Government" tour and education program.
Testimony and discussion continued until adjournment at 11:32 a.m.

The Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) will present its report on the Department of Human Services (DHS) State Operated Services (SOS). (This is rescheduled from March 14).
