Chair Thomas Huntley called to order the thirty-seventh meeting of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Committee at 10:12 a.m. in Room 200 of the State Office Building on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. This was an informational meeting only. Attendance was not required. The committee legislative assistant noted the roll:

Chair Huntley welcomed Leah Montgomery back to her DFL Caucus Research position and welcomed Jamie Olson to her new position in House Research.
Presentation on State Innovation Model (SIM) grants by Lucinda Jesson, Commissioner of Human Services, and Edward P. Ehlinger, Commissioner of Minnesota Department of Health.
Presentation on Department of Human Services 2014 bonding proposals by Chuck Johnson, Deputy Commissioner, Policy and Operations, DHS. Francie Mathes, Children and Family Services, DHS, responded from the audience to a committee member’s question.
Discussion occurred throughout.
Chair Huntley adjourned the informal meeting at 12:33 p.m.
