Chair Thomas Huntley called to order the forty-sixth meeting of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Committee at 10:05 a.m. in Room 200 of the State Office Building on Thursday, March 20, 2014. A quorum was present. The committee legislative assistant noted the roll:

H.F. 3087 (Faust) - Senior nutrition programs modified, and congregate dining money appropriated.
Chair Huntley moved the bill before the committee for consideration and Representative Faust explained his bill. Testifying were:

Following discussion, Chair Huntley laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance omnibus bill.
H.F. 2203 (Halvorson) - Homeless Youth Act activities funding provided and money appropriated.
Representative Halverson moved the bill before the committee for consideration and further moved adoption of the A14-0948 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted. Rep. Halverson then gave an overview of her bill. Testifying in favor of the bill were:

Following discussion, Chair Huntley laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance omnibus bill.
H.F. 3071 (Abeler) - Federally qualified community health center subsidy funding provided, and money appropriated.
Representative Abeler moved H.F. 3071 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance omnibus bill and gave an overview. Testifying in favor of the bill were:

Representative Abeler moved adoption of the
H3071A1 amendment. Testifying in support was:

Following testimony the motion prevailed. The H3071A1 amendment was adopted. Following discussion, Chair Huntley laid the bill over, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance omnibus bill.
H.F. 2841 (Morgan) - James Ford Bell Museum of Natural History funding provided for outdoor classrooms and landscapes representing Minnesota biomes, bonds issued, and money appropriated
Chair Huntley moved the bill before the committee for consideration. Testifying in favor of the bill was:

Following discussion, Chair Huntley laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance omnibus bill.
H.F. 2885 (Fritz) - Nursing facility rate adjustment provided.
Representative Fritz moved H.F. 2885 be re-referred to the Committee on Labor, Workplace and Regulated Industries, and further moved adoption of the
H2885A2 amendment. The motion prevailed. The H2885A2 amendment was adopted. Testifying in favor of the bill were:

Following discussion, Representative Fritz renewed her motion that H.F. 2885, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Labor, Workplace and Regulated Industries. The motion prevailed.
