MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of Committee on Health and Human Services Policy, called the meeting to order at 2:22 pm, March 4, 2014 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Abeler moved that HF1872 (Atkins) be recommended to be re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Abeler moved the H1872DE2-1 amendment. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted.

Representative Liebling moved that HF2545 (Liebling) be recommended to be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Representative Liebling renewed her motion that HF2545 (Liebling) be recommended to be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee. Motion prevailed.

The committee recessed at 3:54 pm.

The committee reconvened at 6:09 pm in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1818 (Melin) be recommended to be re-referred to the Government Operations Committee.

Chair Liebling moved the oral amendment to HF1818A6 as follows:
Line 1.15 delete the word “market” and insert the word “marketing”. Motion prevailed. Oral amendment adopted.

Representative Gruenhagen moved the
H1818A3 amendment.

Representative Gruenhagen and Jamie Olson provided further information on the amendment. HF1818 Chief Author, Representative Melin and Dr. Sue Sisley responded to the amendment.

Representative Gruenhagen renewed his motion of the H1818A3 amendment.

Representative Zerwas requested a division.

With a vote of 8 yeas and 10 nays the motion did not prevail. The amendment is not adopted.

Representative Melin and Jennifer Ausie answered member questions and offered final remarks on HF1818.

Chair Liebling renewed her motion that HF1818 (Melin) be recommended to be re-referred as amended to the Government Operations Committee. Motion prevails.

At 9:32 pm Vice Chair Moran assumed the gavel.

Representative Liebling moved that HF2527 (Liebling) be recommended to be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Representative Liebling moved the H2527DE1 amendment. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted.

Representative Liebling moved the H2527A1 amendment. Motion prevailed. Amendment adopted.
