MINUTES
Representative Paymar, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Rep. Lesch moved that the minutes from the March 12, 2013 meeting be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F. 1126 (Winkler) Criminal sexual conduct offenses expanded for persons in current or recent positions of authority over juveniles.
Chair Paymar moved that H.F. 1126 be recommended to pass and be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Public Safety Finance Bill.

Chair Paymar laid over H.F. 1126.
H.F. 1010 (Simonson) Repeat sex offender 36-month presumptive executed sentence provided for.
Rep. Simonson moved that H.F. 1010 be recommended to pass and be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Public Safety Finance Bill.

Chair Paymar laid over H.F. 1010.
H.F. 449 (Simonson) 911 fund-related provisions modified to make them available for statewide public safety radio communications.
Rep. Simonson moved that H.F. 449 be re-referred, without further recommendation, to the Committee on Taxes.
Rep. Simonson moved to amend H.F. 449 as follows: (see attached;
A13-0207)
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED
Testifying on behalf of H.F. 449 were:

Rep. Simonson renewed his motion that H.F. 449, as amended, be re-referred, without further recommendation, to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Lesch assumed the gavel at 11:06 a.m.
H.F. 1400 (Paymar) Domestic abuse provisions modified.
Chair Paymar moved that H.F. 1400 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
Chair Paymar moved to amend H.F. 1400 as follows:
Page 7, Line 18: Strike "abuse" and insert "conduct"
