MINUTES

Representative Carlson, Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:10 P.M. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Carlson announced a recess to the call of the chair at 6:13 P.M.

Chair Carlson reconvened the meeting at 7:07 P.M.

Rep. Hornstein moved approval of the minutes of Monday, February 25, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Rep. Atkins moved that HF5, Seventh Engrossment, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Atkins presented HF5, Seventh Engrossment (Atkins) Minnesota Insurance Marketplace established, powers and duties prescribed, right to not participate established, open meeting requirements and data practices procedures specified, and money appropriated.

Rep. Atkins moved to amend HF5, Seventh Engrossment. (See attached amendment H0005A199). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Atkins moved to amend HF5, Seventh Engrossment, as amended. (See attached amendment H0005A194). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Atkins moved to amend HF5, Seventh Engrossment, as amended. (See attached amendment H0005A202). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Atkins renewed the motion that HF5, Seventh Engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
