MINUTES
Representative Kiel, Vice-Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, started the meeting at 2:47 P.M. on April 10, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kiel started the meeting at 2:47 P.M. A quorum was not present.
At 3:00 P.M a quorum was present, and Representative Kiel called the meeting to order.
Representative Metsa moved that the minutes of April 8, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1437 Hamilton, Agriculture, animal health, and agricultural utilization research funding provided; retail food establishment and food handler license fees provided; agriculture related provisions policy and technical changes made; farm opportunity loan program established; fees and surcharges modified; accounts created; and money appropriated
Representative Hamilton moved the HF1437DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
The following individuals provided testimony on HF1437 as amended: Donald Perira with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Chief, Professor Gary Gardner with the University of Minnesota (UMN) Department of Horticultural Sciences, Minnesota Grocers Association Presidet Jamie Pfuhl, Amanda Bilek with the Great Plains Institute, Thom Peterson with the Minnesota Farmers Union, Dan Skogen with Agricultural Utilization Research Institute, Bobby King with the Land Stewardship Project, and Santo Cruz with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
Vice-Chair Kiel laid over HF1437 as amended.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:28 P.M.
