MINUTES

Representative Smith, Vice Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. on February 24th, 2015, in the Hearing Room Ten of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith called the meeting to order at 8:17 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Lohmer moved to approve the minutes from February 17th, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Scott moved HF456 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention.

Available testifiers for HF456, Representative Peggy Scott, Lee McGrath, Senator Dean Barkley, Dave Lasse, Ben Feist, Robert Small and Max Keller.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF456 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Scott moved HF415 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention.

Available testifiers for HF415, Representative Peggy Scott, Lee McGrath, State Auditor Rebecca Otto, Robert Small and Colonel Shell Schaffer.

At 9:24 A.M. Representative Scott assumed the gavel.

Representative Scott moved that HF337 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF337 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Lesch moved that HF446 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Lesch renewed his motion that HF446 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

  • HF456 (Scott) - Vehicle forfeiture actions burden of proof shifted to prosecution in innocent owner cases relating to off-highway vehicles, DWI, designated offenses, controlled substance offenses, fleeing offenses, and prostitution offenses; and homestead exemption expanded.
