EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Jenifer Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:47 p.m. on March 25th, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Dettmer moved the minutes of March 24th, 2015, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2039 Garofalo, Pupil transportation procedures for nonresident charter school pupils modified.
Representative Loon moved that HF2039 be placed on the General Register.
Representative Garofalo testified on HF2039.
Representative Loon laid over HF2039 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill, or further consideration at a later date.

HF332 Runbeck, Childhood literacy provisions modified.
Representative Loon moved that HF332 be placed on the General Register.
Representative Runbeck testified on HF332.

Representative Loon laid over HF332 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill, or further consideration at a later date.

HF1542 Selcer, School and district data reported on foreign exchange and study abroad programs, and foreign exchange and study abroad programs and policies encouraged.

Representative Selcer moved that HF1542 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance.
Representative Selcer moved the H1542DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Selcer testified on HF1542.

HF648 Quam, Career and technical education funding provisions modified.
Representative Quam moved that HF648 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.
Representative Quam testified on HF648.

Representative Loon laid over HF648 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill, or further consideration at a later date.
