EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Jenifer Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:55 p.m. on April 9, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Murphy moved the minutes of April 8th, 2015, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF922, First Engrossment, Drazkowski, Local referenda related to spending required to be conducted on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
Representative Loon moved that HF922, First Engrossment, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.
Representative Drazkowski testified on HF922, First Engrossment.
Representative Loon moved the H0922A3 amendment.
Representative Loon incorporated the following into the H0922A3 amendment to HF922, First Engrossment:

On line 1.2 after the word “delete”, insert the words “new language”.
Representative Loon renewed the motion to adopt H0922A3, as incorporated. THE AMENDMENT, AS INCORPORATED, WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Loon moved the H0922A4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loon renewed her motion to re-refer HF922, First Engrossment, as amended, to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2077 Drazkowski, School building bond agricultural credit provided, and money appropriated. HF2077 was heard on an informational basis.
Representative Drazkowski testified on HF2077.

HF1897 Isaacson, Career and technical education need grant programs established, and money appropriated.

Representative Loon moved that HF1897 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Loon moved that HF1248 be re-referred to the Committee on Capitol Investment.

Representative Freiberg testified on HF1248.
