MINUTES
Representative McNamara, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15AM on January 27th, 2015 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative McNamara called the meeting to order at 8:15AM. A quorum was present.
Representative Hancock moved to adopt the minutes of January 22th, 2015. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
HF358 (McNamara) Natural resource enforcement activities and Zoological Board funding provided, and money appropriated.
Representative McNamara moved HF358 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Lee Ehmke, Director of the Minnesota Zoo testified on HF358.
Representative Hansen moved to adopt the H0358A1 amendment with the following oral amendment:
“Line 1.7, after the period, insert “the board shall submit an interim report to the Chair and ranking Minority member by April 1, 2015.” THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Green moved to orally amend HF358 amendment as follows:
“Line 1.2 after before, delete “$1,5000,000” insert “$1,350,000”.
Representative Hansen requested a roll call vote.

There being 12 AYES and 7 NAYS, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Ken Soring, Enforcement Director, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Barb Juelich, Chief Financial Officer, Department of Natural resources testified on HF358.
Representative McNamara renewed the motion that HF358, as amended, be referred to the Committee on Ways & Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
John Jaschke, Executive Director, Board of Water and Soil Resources, gave a presentation.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00AM.
