MINUTES
Representative Pugh, Vice Chair of the Government Operations and Election Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:17 AM on March 11, 2015 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nash moved to approve the minutes from March 10, 2015.

HF 777 (Hamilton) Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury research grant program created, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury advisory council established, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Pugh moved to amend HF 777 (See attached amendment H0777A1).

Representative Scott moved that HF 777, as amended, be re-referred to the committee on Higher Education Policy and Finance.

HF 779 (Hamilton) Agriculture Research Education, and Technology Transfer Board established, and money appropriated.

Chair Sanders moved to amend HF 779 (See attached amendment H0779A3).

Chair Sanders moved that HF 779, as amended, be re-referred to Agriculture Finance Committee.

HF 278 (Kiel) Alzheimer's disease and other dementias research grant program and public awareness campaign grant program established, Alzheimer's Research Advisory Council established, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Sanders moved HF 278 be re-referred to Health and Human Services Reform Committee.

HF 921 (Schomacker) Long-term care savings plan provided, and income tax subtraction for contributions made to long-term care savings plan provided.

HF 899 (Runbeck) Transitway development and finance governed, legislative authorization requirements established, and permissible use specified and uses of revenue from a metropolitan transportation area sales tax prioritized.
