WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Greater Minnesota Economic & Workforce Development Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:59 p.m. on March 17th, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Vice Chair Green moved that HF1450 (Drazkowski) be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Policy and Finance.
Vice Chair Green moved the H1450A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Drazkowski presented HF1450, as amended (Small cities assistance grant program established).
Testifying before committee were the following in favor of HF1450:
Scott Splittstoesser, Mayor of Minneiska.
Vice Chair Green renewed the motion that HF1450 pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the committee on Transportation Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Johnson, B. moved that the minutes of Thursday, March 12th, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Gunther moved that HF1111 (Hamilton) be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment.
Representative Hamilton presented HF1111 (State appropriation bond issuance program established, Lewis and Clark Regional Water System funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated).
Testifying before committee were the following in favor of HF1111:
Scott Hain, Worthington Public Utilities General Manager, Lewis & Clark Board of Directors, Lewis & Clark Executive Committee member;
Pat Baustain, Mayor, City of Luverne.
Chair Gunther renewed the motion that HF1111 pass, and be re-referred to the committee on Capital Investment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
