LEGACY FUNDING FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Dean Urdahl, Chair of the Legacy Funding Finance Committee, called the eighth meeting to order at 12:49 P.M. on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A Quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Green moved to approve the minutes of March 2, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Susan Weller, Lee Pfannmuller, and Parke Kunkle from the Bell Museum of Natural History presented the museum’s Legacy fund request, and related how past allocations have been used to expand the Bell Museum’s programs throughout Minnesota.
Dr. Eric Jolly and John Severson of the Science Museum of Minnesota presented the museum’s legacy fund request, related how past allocations have been used, and outlines proposed uses for requested funds.
Craig Anderson and Ralph Donais of the North Star Boys Choir presented a brief overview of the choir’s history, their goals as an organization, and their Legacy fund request.
Jennifer Bloom, Orvil Lyndquist, Traci Warnberg-Lemm, and Judy Farmer testified on behalf of the Minnesota Civic Education Coalition, and related the coalition’s Legacy fund request.
Joan Wilshire and David Fenley of the Minnesota State Council on Disability presented the council’s Legacy fund request, and related how past allocations have been used.
HF613 Torkelson, Minnesota Humanities Center provided funding, and money appropriated. Chair Urdahl laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.
Rep. Kahn, David O’Fallon, and Robin Nelson testified on behalf of the Minnesota Humanities Center in favor of HF613.
